Sports are a passion, a desire to unite yourself with something bigger. For men, it’s a form of bonding; gathering the gang together, munching a smorgasbord of food concoctions all the while jumping up and down screaming slurred profanities at the TV and talking player stats like it’s their own secret language.

LIKE A GIRL is the female translator for all that male sport mumbo-jumbo, breaking down the major games and match-ups. It’s more than just the numbers though, as a female who played 8 years of competitive basketball, 4 years of varsity rugby, and enjoys long walks on beautifully cut greens with a little white ball, I’m here to make sense of some of the nonsense that surrounds sports.

“You throw like a girl”…”You hit like a girl”… every girl has heard this at some point in their life, well let me break something to you (it may be a shocker, I hope you’re sitting down)… I AM A GIRL and I love sports.  I loved it so much in fact; I have a degree in Sport Management.

From the upcoming Super Bowl to (my favourite time of year) March Madness, I’ll be here talking predictions, key match ups, uniforms and featuring my Player of the Week.

So, move over boys cause there’s a new captain on the court and she’s about to take you to school.
